The Story of Duke

My son and I just finished our book. It is available at Amazon and we have some to sell too. If you buy through us, you can get your copy signed. However as I have not written a book before, I don't know how meaningful it is to a person to get their copy signed.
Some of you reader's might know that I have tried to write this book for over ten years. I just got writer's block about every time I started on it. Since it is a true story, I knew what was going to be in it and how it ended. I just couldn't seem to get it together well enough to do it. My son finally decided it was time and as he was published before, he helped me write it. It is my dream come true. A beautiful story. You will need tissue as you read it.
I want to apologize for taking all these years to complete it but now it is done. I will be writing more family adventures as they are easier for me to do true stories.
Hope to write on here soon.

Finally Finished

To all you who are following my blog. I'm sorry that I haven't posted in a few weeks. I have been pretty busy finishing my novel. It is finally completed. I should have plenty of time for my blog now.
My husband, Gary, and I went on a much needed vacation a few days ago. We spent 11 days with family and friends on an island in Lake Shasta, California. It was a special time for both of us. I however, could not do much to help the ladies because my heart is out of rhythm and I get short winded pretty easy and quite a lot. I have an appoint scheduled to get it shocked back into rhythm.
Anyway, I took a few falls while there. Four to be exact. I didn't get too badly hurt, just a knee and arm. I also had swelling of my feet and legs and I was going into congestive heart failure. I didn't know this at the time. I stayed swollen from day two on to the end of the camp out. When we got back to civilization, we spent two days with friends. She is an RN and she treated me and helped me get back to not being swollen. It was great and I know it was Divine intervention because Gary and I were headed home and she texted me and said she was home so we could come over. Thank God for that. I might have ignored it all if I had gone back to the coast. I did call my cardiologist's nurse and she told me to just go home and put up my feet and take it easy.
It appears that I am okay as far as that is concerned. Thank you Jesus for watching over me and my family and leading me to Alicia that day so I could get the much needed treatment.

I am going to close now and go do my chores. I will try to blog at least two times a week. No excuse not to now, until I start my next novel.
